Coldfoot
July 14

We spent the night at the Slate Creek Inn in Coldfoot, Alaska

The newly constructed Arctic Interagency Visitor Center

After touring around the visitor center, we walked to the restaurant for dinner (this photo was taken around 9 PM, in case you couldn't tell).

A very fine microbrew that complimented a trucker-sized heap of tasty victuals!

We saw a few of these trucks during the drive, and were told they were carrying pipeline replacements.
Unleaded gasoline here at this time was $4, which is about $1 more than it is in Fairbanks.
