Deadhorse Camp
July 13

Where we spent the night in Deadhorse.
Staying here was a neat experience as we got to see where the oil workers sleep, eat, and live when they're not at work. The kitchen
also served up some great grub!

In case you forget that this part of Alaska is a desert, here are some Prudhoe Bay sand dunes.

A Snowy Owl on the road

Tundra Swans

White dryads serve as mosquito resting places since their curved white petals focus the sun's heat.

Luckily we had DEET to help fight off the mosquitos. This photo was taken before that time. Notice the one going for my eyeball!

The sun at midnight.

The sun at its lowest point in the sky ~ 2 AM (not midnight due to daylight savings and time zone placement).
